Hi Steph, thanks so much for this list (as well as the one on hiking gear)!! Skiing will never be my thing, unfortunately - I tried, it didn't go well - but I do have Iceland and/or Lapland in winter on my bucket list, so I will be looking for cold weather gear as and when. Did you happen to also come across any good plus size base layers during your research? I'm told by outdoorsy friends that a merino wool base is a must, but I've never been able to find anything above a size 18/20...

Hi my love, thank you for the comments! YES Merino wool is a great one, but as you said, it's really tricky to find it for plus bodies. This site: https://www.alpinetrek.co.uk/stoic-merino150-alsenst-tank-merino-base-layer/?aid=2128d4c46552d20619a9c4c3e7556e76& goes up to a 5XL, but I'm not sure what that converts to in dress sizing! Alternatively, I get my base layers from Yours Clothing (https://www.yoursclothing.co.uk/thermal-heat-gen-ls-top-black-p?ltiCountry=GB&ltiCurrency=GBP&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22372989558&gbraid=0AAAAADqfSTBhaSW7gsM2PHRy8uLL2rFEe&gclid=Cj0KCQjw0LDBBhCnARIsAMpYlAqN19uK6MUDDfeZ-brDpz7D5yd-vVkiQhi3PIOForo_su6vbXYRU8MaAsV2EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds) and UniQlo, who go up to a size 24 I believe!

Thanks so much for those Links, I will check them out for sure! I didn't have Yours Clothing on my radar for outdoor kit, that's really good to know :)
